Maryam Bukar Hassan, widely recognized as Alhanislam, is a distinguished Nigerian poet, speaker, and passionate advocate for gender equality, peace, and social justice. Her influence extends to major forums across Europe, where she has spoken at the Global Women's Forum in Paris, the UN SDG Awards in Rome, and the State of Europe High-Level Forum in Brussels. Founder of the "True My Voice" initiative, Alhanislam empowers young people through creative expression and advocacy. The initiative has been celebrated as a UN SDG Awards finalist for its groundbreaking work in creativity for advocacy. Additionally, her "Peace Begins with Me" campaign, co-curated with UN Peacekeeping, emphasizes the role of art in fostering reconciliation in conflict zones.
