Public Financing for SDGs at UNDP
Dr. Saied Tafida is a diplomat, working with the United Nations as the National Coordinator of Public Financing for SDGs at UNDP.
He leads the development of SDG Financing Frameworks to leverage public finance and other fiscal policies to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. He engages government policymakers and supports research and capacity development, particularly in Africa, to develop fiscal policies to achieve specific SDGs.
He also facilitates meetings/partnerships (both virtual and physical) to support governments and policy drivers to build consensus and support for SDG-related financing policies. He is a multiple award winner both internationally and locally.
He was recognized by President Barack Obama and US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry as a Young African Leader and International advocate of good governance and the Gates Foundation as SDG GoalKeeper.
