Maryam Ahmed is the Founder of Mimies Homemade, a fast-rising culinary brand redefining Northern Nigerian cuisine through creativity, authenticity, and a strong commitment to food sustainability. Since establishing the brand in 2023, she has emerged as a sought-after Private Chef, celebrated for her ability to craft modern culinary experiences rooted in tradition. Before embracing the culinary world, Maryam built a solid career as a Chartered Accountant, spending over 11 years in the banking industry. She served as a Relationship Manager at Guaranty Trust Bank, where she excelled in financial advisory, client management, and strategic relationship building.

Her growing influence in the African food ecosystem earned her a coveted place as a LAWFF Alumni Fellow with African Food Changemakers in 2024-recognizing her as one of the emerging leaders shaping the future of food sustainability on the continent.

Maryam holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Leicester, a background that continues to strengthen her entrepreneurial journey and operational excellence. Her inspiring transition from the corporate world to culinary entrepreneurship has been spotlighted on major platforms, including ThisDay Live, highlighting her role in elevating Northern culinary artistry and championing sustainable food practices.
